It looks like many are facing this issue. Anyhow follow the below instructions to check.
1. Go to website: UPSC
2. There you click on "What's New". This link is located in the left column(second one from last) and also in the bottom right
3. Next you look for "CS(P) Examination 2009" under "Registration Data" and click on it.
4. You will be taken to the Form registration query form. Enter your form in the field provided and hold your breath...

My son ANIMESH KUMAR UPADHYAY applied for NDA-I- 2010 with application No. 37036776 which is scheduled for Exam on 18th April 2010. He has neigther received acknowledgement of receipt of application nor his application status is displayed nor hall ticket is available as on date.
