[Resolved]  Voters ID — Delay in voters ID

Dear All,

This is in regards to the Voters ID that my family is running around for in Chennai. My family resides in Madiapakkam, Chennai and have been asked to go to the Tambaram Office for the voters ID. I reside in Dubai and have not been able to help them much about this but to only hear their grief and difficulties about this .

Since the last 6 months my family has been running every now and then to the office in Tamabaram and have always been sent back saying come next week and then the next week and so on.. An old mother and a working sister have pledged their health and office work hours for this purpose since last 6 months and yesterday they get the card to see that all the name have been misspelt and now need to write an other form and could be that the new card might be delivered During April 2011. So much more travel to thier office and see their faces and run whenever they ask to come.

Is there any law or any body which could help people like this to get their rights and say on time or is that we should stay quiet and get used to the redtapism and lazy attitude of these government officials.

We claim to be a growinfg economy with no support to the needy but offer all hands and laws for the black and powerful.
