[Resolved]  www.MakeMyTrip.com — Delay in system and no refund

Hi,

I booked a bus ticket from Bangalore to Thrissur through Makemytrip.com on October 19th and an amount of Rs.581 got debited from my account. But when I logged into my newly created account the second time, it said that there are no tickets available. I called up the customer care then for which they said that it will take 3 days for the ticket to appear in their system. Then I emailed to the makemytrip team and they said it was a failed transaction and I would get a refund as there are no tickets found on my email ID or phone number.

Again I called them up on the date of journey and then, they found that the ticket has been booked. It was a clear system error from their side. Now they are telling that the email Id i used for booking was different and hence they cannot give a refund. I gave them all my details including email ID and password and I don't know how such an error can occur. Indeed they sent me a welcome mail into the email Id i had provided. All the communications were made through that email Id only. This is a clear injustice. I need not lose money just because of their system error. I request you to please give my refund as soon as possible.

I used the makemytrip ID: [protected]@yahoo.co.in and phone number-[protected] to book my ticket. I did not get any PNR number on booking. I just got the cash debited from my a/c and there was no email or anything from makemytrip. But later (that is after my journey date) makemytrip team sent my booking ID as NU[protected].
I did book that ticket in the name Bhavya as it is for another person. I DID call them on saturday (Oct 22) as I wanted to cancel that ticket. Then the customer care representative told me that they could not find any ticket in that email ID or mobile number and it would take 3 days to reflect the ticket details. Then only I emailed them about this as I found this 3days delay to be a nonsense. Even if I had booked it in a different email ID, they should have let me know that when I called them before the journey. They should not have told that it's a failed transaction and later after the journey date tell me that the email Id was wrong. I cannot justify them in any case as I called them up and emailed them before my journey date.

Hi,

I am Bhavya Haridas working in Dell, India. I made a ticket booking through Makemytrip.com on October 19th using this email ID.
It showed a successful booking and a message that I would get the ticket in my mailbox. But I did not get that ticket. Now that I need to cancel my ticket and I don't have a valid booking ID or anything.

I called up your customer service. What they said to me was that it would take atleast 3 days to get ticket booked (which is totally nonsense).
My journey date is on Oct 24th night. I booked through the email ID- [protected]@yahoo.co.in and mobile number [protected]. An amount of Rs. 581 got debited from my account also. I booked a Kallada travels bus from Bangalore to Palakkad. Please help me in getting it cancelled and getting a refund ASAP.
