[Resolved]  Yahoo India Small Business — Disabling our website 'www.jkmc.in'

This is to bring to your kind notice that I have a site domain (www.jkmc.in) with yahoo India small business purchased for Rs. 2205/- on 10.08.2009 (cheque No. 563889, Karur Vysya Bank, Dt. 04.08.2009). It was on 23rd of March 2010, a representative from Info Network Management Co. Pvt. Ltd. (authorised by Yahoo India) (Jaiganesh - TM-Mgr. & S. Balaji - Mkt. Exce.) came to our office asking payment for renewal of our site. As I told them that it was too early to collect the renewal payment, he said not to worry about the early payment and assured that renewal would done when the due date come. I have paid Rs.3000/- (cheque No. 572519, KVB, Dt. 23.03.2010, favouring Info Network Management Co. Pvt. Ltd.) towards renewal of my site and the amount was debited in my bank account on 26.03.2010.

On 4th August 2010, I received a mail from yahoo India asking me to pay for the renewal which I ignored since I have paid for the same thinking Info Network Management Co. Pvt. Ltd. will take care of the renewal. On 27th of August’10, I received a mail again from yahoo saying my website ‘www.jkmc.in’ was closed due to non payment for renewal for the site. I immediately called yahoo customer care number (+[protected] and told about the payment made. But the person told ‘our system shows that you have not paid and so we disabled your site, and you may contact the person to whom you have made the payment’. Then I have spoken several times to Info Network Management Co. Pvt. Ltd. persons and told them the payment details. I have sent a mail to yahoo India and CC to Info Network Management Co. Pvt. Ltd. on 27th August with details of payment and asked them to activate my site within 24hrs from the receipt of the mail failing which legal action will be taken against them. But all my efforts to reactivate my site ended in vain even after several phone calls and paying for renewal well in advance.

This web site is created to help HR related professionals and students free of cost and they can download any HR related articles, forms, labour laws ect. without any registration or membership and the site has very minimum about our establishment.

As the site was disabled I got many mails from the users asking to look into the problem and I attach few mails I received,

I have sent legal notice to Yahoo india & Info Network asking for clarification and compensation.

Yahoo India Small Business — NOT CANCELLING THE ORDER

Hi,
I am the recent victim of yahoo small business.
I mailed to them regarding cancellation of my domains and even confirm on the phone that I want to cancel my domain registration.But they still charged on my credit card. Please let me know how can I join you. I am also looking for legal help to get my money back.

Yahoo India Pvt. Ltd — Small Business Web Account

I have been using a small business web account for past two years with Yahoo India Pvt. Ltd. When I purchased it I paid via credit card. After one year I have to renew my subscription. I renewed it using a different credit card. Again after one year I tried renewing it using my third credit card but Yahoo kept on charging my old credit card despite I submitted my new credit card details on time and the payment could not be processed. Now they have blocked my account and I have suffered a loss in my revenue as I am not able to communicate with my clients due to email account blockage.

The reason they gave me is that I have to delete my old payment details in order to use new credit card. But this was not the case when I first renewed my account and it is no where mentioned in their terms and conditions document. However on their request I made the payment via neft transfer and its been one week I am not getting any response from them. I have all the proofs in the form of screen shots. Please suggest me how can I get my loss compensated.
