We were expecting our second kid and we chose continental hospital over others. Dr mythili was our doctor and we followed everything which she suggested, be it medicines, tests, precaution etc...
But to our shock our baby was delivered with down syndrome.
I took her to dr radha rama devi for genetic counselling. She has over 40 yrs of experience. After she observed my child she said this should have been caught during prenatal tests.
As per her, below points were obvious to conclude baby can have high risk of down syndrome
1) father age 38 yrs
2) age difference between 1st and 2nd baby which is 11 yrs.
3) small nasal bone
4) double marker having biochemical risk of 1:247
5) large bladder size
But all these signs were ignored and as a result my wife delivered baby with down syndrome (Trisomy 21).
What is the point of getting treatment in such a renowned hospital, i would have better off going to some government hospital.
Our entire life has turned into a nightmare, who is responsible for it.
I'll not remain silent, i'll take this forward.
