Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations [Cisce] — Complaint regarding a teacher

Address:St. Francis School, Jalandhar Rd, near Punjab Roadways Batala Depot, Guru Ram Das Colony, Subash Park, Batala

My child is enrolled in the 9th standard at St. Francis School in Batala, Punjab, which is a CISCE board school. This complaint does not concern the school management, which has been genuinely very supportive. Instead, it pertains to a Punjabi teacher named Raminder Mam, who is known for her racist, feminist, political, and abusive remarks.

She considers herself superior to others based on her race, and my child has frequently reported instances where she fosters hatred among students regarding immigrants (citizens of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh) settled in Punjab. She shares her feminist ideas with children, promotes sexism, and my child has mentioned her biased behavior towards boys, often being furious with them while remaining calm with girls. She verbally abuses and even physically punishes boys, citing it as a form of humor and teaching method, which is illegal and should not be gender-specific.

My child informed me that she makes offensive political remarks during class, criticizing our national government. She wastes valuable class time with such offensive jokes and defends them by labeling it as her sense of humor while verbally abusing students. When confronted, she denies any wrongdoing and attempts to garner support from her friends, other school teachers, threatening to ruin the child's life who dared to complain against her. She justifies her actions by claiming it's for the students' benefit.
My children are at school to learn, not to be subjected to her political, feminist, and racist views. She only dedicates 20 minutes of the 40-minute class to actual teaching and wastes the rest with her inappropriate remarks. Her testing methods are cruel, beating students for a single wrong answer on the blackboard. This, coupled with her harsh treatment during tests, has severely affected my child's well-being.

I urge the school federations to take the strictest possible actions against her.
There are other exemplary teachers in the school as well, Kulwinder Sir and Gurjot Mam who know how to teach students the way they should be taught
