I have been using Crizal lenses for over 10 years now. My last pair developed first scratch in September 2021 after which it started developing more and more scratches no matter how carefully I use/ clean them. I always put the lens under running water to get rid of dust particles after which I clean them with Crizal lens cleaning cloth.
I finally bought a new pair of Crizal S-UV in November 2021 (even though my eye sight number has not changed). I was recommended by the shopkeeper to try Zeiss lens but I insisted on Crizal, having my trust in the brand I have used for these many years.
However, to my disappoint, my current pair developed glare issue two weeks ago. This causes a lot of discomfort when looking towards bright places/ driving. There are no visible scratches on the lens. I always rinse them under water and then clean the lens with Crizal cloth. There is ABSOLUTELY NO mishandling.
I wonder whether Crizal has started making sub standard coating now!
