Hi, My mother, Nivedita Dey, got a notice from DHBVN about unauthorized meter tampering. The old meter that has been reported as tampered, had led to last two electricity bills of Rs 23k, and Rs17k each respectively. This old meter had been replaced by DHBVN around 2-3 months back by new Electronic meter. In spite of such exhorbitant readings and charges, how could they simply put such charges. This is just done to harass female residents at home and get undue money paid. If at all the meter has been tampered with, this could well have been done while it was in their custody since last few months; now all of a sudden why levy such charges?
