Sir,
A private vehicle was hired to visit Chilika by boat from Puri on 15.12.2023, the driver of the said Car without going to original boat service controlled by OTDC at Satapada, bypassing the original point, took the car through a narrow road to another Dolphin point under control of Dolphin Motor Boat Association and charged Rs.5750.00 for booking of boat to carry my family consisting of three persons (the receipt of which attached for ready reference). When I wanted to pay the said amount by debit card, the booking clerk advised me to contact other man who operating Micro ATM Cash Withdrawal in the name of Fino Payments Bank exchanging cash through Debit/credit card with an exchange rate of Rs.20.00 for every 1000.00 rupees (photocopy of said is attached).
It is my question when there is a Government jetty to carry the passenger by boat on government rates on a lesser charges, then how another private agency in the name of Dolphin Motor Boat Association is operating another point with the name of government charges and boat rent of Rs.2250.00 and Rs.3500.00 just one or two kilometer away of original point and how the Government of Odisha is allowing the said operator to run may be an illegal way by loosing the govt. fund.
Hope, you may take immediate action by initiating an investigation against that Association as well as the Fino Payments bank whether it is registered or not with the Odisha Government who looting the money of the visitors and the fame of OTDC.
Your immediate action to stop the harassments of the visitors and further lose of government exchequer will be highly solicited.
A line of reply on action taken will also be appreciated.
