Drainage Overflow — Extremely poor drainage leading to sewage water logging in people's house and in our locality

A private contractor has been assigned the task of building an effective drainage system in our lane which draws sewage and waste from 4 lanes combined. The aforementioned person did not do his task in time at all, and has instead blocked the passage of wastes and sewage leading to sewage water logging in the houses of people of our locality. Our grievances and pain are inexpressible. The rooms of our houses are filled with filthy sewage water that has entered our house because there is no other way out for these wastes to drain into. We are blocked in our houses surrounded by wastes and filth and sewage water all around from 15 days now, and it's getting unbearable. Even after pleading
again and again to the contractor to do the needful and unblock the passage of sewage water, no action has been taken at all, and I don't see any chance of them working towards this end ever. The incompetent MLA who happens to be the "boss" of the contractor and who has assigned the work to the contractor, denies to hear our grievances, let alone address them. He completely denies the allegations on his sycophant contractor.
