[Resolved] Ebay.in — cheating by selling defective product and not changing or refunding the money | |||||
I have purchase the product "philips az-1852/98 sound machine mp3/cd player (Silver)" item no.[protected] online from ebay on 01/07/2017 from their website “www.ebay.in” and from their seller gromo, address - moti marbles, 1st floor, bhagat singh nagar no.2 link rd, goregaon west mumbai 400104, telephone-[protected], invoice no. Gromo/[protected] dated 03.07.2017 rs. 2, 999/- with 9 month warranty. I have purchased this product specially to record some of my old cassettes (Audio tape) in mp3 format. At the time of booking product it was mentioned on ebay site that only remote of this unit is not working as the product is of “refurbished” category, but i found the product was totally defective, from the job card of service center of philips i. E. Shiva electronics, c-28, rdc, raj nagar, ghaziabad u. P. Phone no. [protected], [protected], after checking the product the service center in their job card dated 29.8.2017 mentioned about these problem (1) display panel (2) source selector switch (3) cd not playing (4) radio not playing (5) problem in cassette recording in mp3 and kept the product with them to repair and till now the product is with service center. I have lounge the complaint to ebay within a prescribed time through claim id: 3029275 with the request to refund my money back, but they said as the product is of “refurbished” category therefore they will not change it, when i tell them in offer the disclosed defect was only about “remote” but in actual the product was totally defected, despite of that not only they refuse to change it or agree to refund my money but now they have also stopped to reply me.in fact “ebay” in collusion with their seller “gromo” cheating the customer and it is a clear case of malpractice, when i asked to ebay for giving me the list of all customer who faced the same problem to understand the actual looted amount and number of cheated person but they did not provide it to me. The behavior of philips service center was also very bad and initially their service engineer sunil and owner vijay refused to take the product for service by finding so much problem. Therefore requesting you look into the matter and not only get back my money along with harassment compensation and transportation expenses but also take necessary action against them.
