[Resolved]  Calicut University Distance Education — NEGLIGANCE OF CALICUT UNIVERSITY AGAINST DISTANCE EDUCATIN STUDENTS

Petition against- UNIVERSITY OF CALICUT-DISTANCE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT-

There are hundreds of students joined the distance education BA degree
programmes under Distance education-University of Calicut in 2011-12
accadamic year.

Student who applied,paid full year fees, and registered through
Calicut University-Distance Education, for B.A degree programmes in
the year 2011-12 are not yet informed about their course,in detail.

online ID card download, Studymaterial -.pdf file are only shown on
their website.

1.University till now didnt send the printed studymaterials to first
year distance education students for B.A Sociology,History..etc
2011-12 ,who have paid additional fee for printed study material.
2.University didnot conduct examination for first year B.A
Sociology,History..etc distance education courses for the academic
year 2011-12.
And the first year exam date is not declared yet.
3.Students are not yet informed about the date of -annual fees to pay
,and registration process for second year B.A distance courses in the
year 2012-13 ,corrosponding the subjects they have applied for.

This above negligant and fraud conduct shown towards the distance
education students by Calicut University is violating ''Right to
Education'',fundamental principle.
Financially poor students cant bear the cost of printing .pdf
textbook, given online.
It is heard that Calicut University is going to conduct the exams of
1st and 2nd year exams for '2011-12 joined,BA distance education
students' together in 2013.This will led
to work overload to students.

We request you to conduct examinations of Calicut Universty-Distance
Education Department's BA 2011-12 First year Sociology,History
Political Science..etc exams this year.
And to send all students the printed studymaterial who have paid the
fees for studymaterial.
And requesting to take action for conducting exams and declaration of
results in time,
and conducting distance degree within 3 years,-without extending time
i.e,more than 3 years.
