Emirates Airline — pet cat travel matter - unprofessional airline

After confirming from their call centre about travelling with my pet cat (In baggage hold) on a newark to mumbai flight via dubai, i had booked my air ticket. But after that, when i approached for putting my pet travel details into my reservation, they initially for many days gave all sorts of reasons why it could not be done - like the flying time restrictions, sector not permitted for the travel of pet in baggage hold etc all of which according to their own website were not true. The flight duration was less than 17 hours - the stipulation of the airline. Finally, after a lot of follow up the same was allowed by emirates office in dubai. I was told that the authorization / approval of the pet travel has come and that i could travel with my pet subject to me producing certain documents like pet health certificate issued by the usda vet, an noc from india for the import of the cat, passport copy, ticket copy, etc. I have complied with all of these around 21st may 2018 with the last document (Noc) being sent to emirates new york office on 11th june. After june 11th there is a total silence in communication to my emails by emirates and my husband has had to call their office multiple times to get a status update. The travel date is tomorrow i. E. June 15, 2018 and as of writing this complaint, with only 24 hours left, i am still told by the emirates office in mumbai that the so-called approval has not come from their dubai office. It has been a nightmarish experience to have booked with emirates and i am sure i am not going to have anything to do with this airline in the future.
I am writing this complaint in the hope that at least a complaint on a public forum would make them to expedite things and to at least reply to my many emails that they have so far remained silent on. The conduct of their staff all along has been the worst i have ever experienced in any service industry. Everyone of them seemed polite but stone-walling and not giving answers desparately being needed.
