Dear FedEx,
This is in reference to Invoice #: DEL-C-722964 AWB No:[protected].
I surprised to see the Warehouse charge of ₹450 + ₹81 IGST. I didn't ask FedEx to store my shipment in their warehouse. There is no delay in updating kyc from our end. Even, I called FedEx multiple times, to deliver the package ASAP.
I also see an additional section for Fines of ₹1000. I didn't make any request for any change in my invoice value or delivery location or any kind of KYC re-updation request. Not understand why these charges are charged for.
After having bought an item from outside India, I understood there would be the possibility of VAT due on receiving them.
I was however surprised to see an additional section for a Duty advancement charge of ₹500 + ₹90 IGST.
Since China is outside of the India, I of course will pay the VAT due.
However, I can't to bear this huge clearance Duty advancement charge of ₹500 + ₹90 IGST, since at no point was I made aware of, nor did I agree to, any terms and conditions which clearly stated that I would be liable for any such charges.
At no point in the transaction and subsequent delivery was any contract for a Duty advancement charge made between FedEx and myself.
I paid the supplier for delivery, and would expect that any international clearance fees be factored into the initial cost of such a shipment.
If you want to pursue further charges for delivery or advancement or the terms upon which goods are shipped, I suggest that you take it up with the company who shipped the goods initially.
Therefore, I request that you update this invoice to reflect No Duty advancement charge, no Fines and no Warehouse charge. And refund the amount as courier already collected all these amount when delivered the product.
Please let me know when this has been done.
Kind Regards,
Amit Pathania
