I had to receive a package, tracking id[protected] on 17th june 2016. Since the last 4 days fedex guys are updating it as "future delivery requested". Not only have i not requested for any such thing but today i specifically called and asked to deliver the item today because i cannot sit and wait everyday.

When i called, the customer care rep's rude reply was "i can only tell you what's in the portal". As a customer i don't care if a company's "portal-updating" department is different from their "call-taking" department. For me, fedex is fedex and i think i have the right to know why the delivery is being postponed with false reasons, without even the courtesy of a call to me. If the customer care rep cannot tell anything other than what is in the portal, then why do they even need a customer care dept. The customer's can't read whats in the portal by themselves or what?

This is seriously pathetic and unacceptable service. Do their delivery guys even think for a second how much inconvenience they are causing the consumers? Their status updates don't even make sense, how could the customer request a future delivery when nobody even called him? I can understand 1 or 2 days delay but 4 days delay with same false excuses is unacceptable.
