My shipment has been stuck at the customs since days now. After repeated calling, the officers have asked for many papers from the sender and yet there is no change in the status of the shipment. They are now asking for IEC and GSTN numbers to clear the shipment from customs. However, please note that the shipment is NOT an Imported good and neither the sender nor me (receiver) are exporters of any sorts. Hence I do not possess the required IEC/GSTN numbers. The shipment was simply a gift sent by my family for my birthday.
This is sheer harassment by the company and its people, including the top members supposedly there to help us. It is very exhausting since such harassment does not take into account the sentimental values of the packages they ship. It is a shame and I shall never indulge with FedEx again.
However please help me to get the package sent back to the sender's address. That is the least to be done to ensure we do not lose the shipment materials. These people have been sitting on the package for over 2 weeks now.
