Flip — prestige coffee machine, broken piece

I got this prestige electric drip coffee machine as a wedding gift delivery to kolkata on 7th or 8th december. I got it to pune and tried using it for the first time today and the base of the glass carafe came off after the first brew. Would request you to consider this complaint and process a replacement or a refund for the product.

Also, the product doesn't seem to be functioning as described as it is getting over heated. Would appreciate a demo of the same
