Subscribed to Gaana Plus Premium using my daughter's iPhone in United States. The subscription fee was immediately charged to my credit card and shows up as a valid / active subscription under my daughter's Apple ID on her device as well as via Apple iTunes. She was prompted to activate the subscription using her US Mobile number and OTP. The feature does not work and she received an error. We tried logging in using a web browser and specifying her US mobile number, but an OTP is never received.
This is the THIRD TIME we have had the issue. Last year (Dec 2021) I purchased a subscription which stopped working with the same symptoms (OTP issue) a few months ago. The email address for that subscription was [protected]@hotmail.com and the mobile number was +[protected]. I attempted to renew the subscription prior to Dec 11, 2022 when the account was to expire. I got charged and was not able to activate the subscription. A few days later I tried again. Same symptoms. Assuming that there was some issue with my device, my email address, or my mobile number, yesterday I attempted to use my daughter's email, AppleID, and mobile to subscribe. And now we have the same symptoms.
I have sent multiple emails to [protected]@gaana.com and [protected]@gaana.com, and even submitted tickets via the gaana.com website. No response received.
Gaana.com is selling a service which evidently is not working as expected. They are not providing any support AND they have a non-refundable policy. I find this highly unethical.
I am hoping that this consumer complaint will get the attention of the proper support personnel who can help resolve the issue ASAP.
