This is Mahimna Pawar and I has asked the company, GATI KWE to transfer my 2 wheeler from Thane to Pune.
The company accepted the same and picked up my vehicle from the Thane location on 30/05/2015 and I was given a slip/docket (#[protected] which specified that the assured delivery date for my consignment to the address specified would be 01/06/2015.
However the delivery did not happen on the said date and hence I had to raise a complaint (#[protected] on 02/06/2015. Post the complaint and a lot of Follow ups with the local delivery team in Pirangut and Dapodi the delivery of the consignment was done on 03/06/2015 night.
As there was a delay in the delivery of the consignment and it was specified on the Docket that the company would refund some specific amount in case of delivery issues from their side I asked for the same.
I got the mail stating that I'm eligible for the same and as per policy the company would be issuing GATI miles coupon which I can use the next time I send a consignment through them. The validity for the same is only 60 days and it cannot be transferred to another or encashed or extended.
This is the issue as I would not be sending any courier through the company in the foreseeable future as I'm not in the business for movement and delivery, hence the coupon as a refund would be useless to me.
This issue was communicated to the company executive as well, however as per the response I got, the company policy was only to give Gati Miles coupon.
It was pointed out by me that this is not specified in the terms and condition of the docket the answer given to me was this was company policy.
I need a refund, however I don't want the coupons as the same would not be used by me within 60 days.
Please have a look into this issue.
