[Resolved]  Go India Buyer — Online fraud

Today Go India Buyer called me posing as agent from my credit card company and said that i am entilted for gifts because i have lots of reward points on my card. Then they said that we will redirect your call to go India buyer, who will handle all the gifts that we are sending. they tricked me into getting all the details of my credit card including my 16 digit card number, my cvv number and the OTP which was generated while they were doing the transaction. Then they inform me that 32000/- rs transaction have been done from my side which i was not informed about before. So i told them that i did not authorize the transaction. So then they tell me that since i was not informed before, they will reduce the transaction from 32000 rs to 16999 rs, which i can pay in EMI but total cancellation is not possible. Another point i noted that although they were saying that transaction have already been done from my credit card, i did not receive any confirmation via sms which i always get instantly. Then they tell me that i am supposed to send them an email in which i have to agree to the 16999/- package. So i understood that they are fooling me and no transaction have been done yet and i went online and cancelled the OTP which i disclosed to them before. Hence i got saved from this scam but i almost got fooled. ADVICE: NEVER EVER DISCLOSE ANY DETAILS ABOUT YOUR CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD TO ANYBODY.
