I have bought a godrej refrigerator (Refdc185chtma4, 2rd) edge silver eternity last year from cherthala (Alappuzha dist), kerala it was said that there are 10 years rust free guarantee for this model and the same information is printed on the door also. Now the door is full of rust in less than two years. I have contacted the customer support and a technician has contacted me saying that the door will be replaced for which i will have to pay around 1000 to 1500 rupees as service plus traveling charge. But how can this be fair when the company has given a rust free guarantee and it is rusted, it becomes their fault. Why should i pay an additional 1500 rupees for their fault? If at all i pay money and replace the door what if it get rusted again. I will have to pay another 1500 again. So if this continues for all the 10 years which is the guarantee period i will have to pay rs. 15000/- as service charge where the refrigerator has cost me only10, 900/-.
This kind of negligence on the part of after sales service is not at all expected from a company like this. I am not going to try any of their products anymore and i am fed up of this nonsense. Was this information helpful? |

Such a bad service and experience from Godrej. I will never recommend it to anyone.
