Gym membership refund

I paid gym membership of 9000Rs for 6 months. They took the money without checking my health condition. I did not use gym facilities even for a day when my doctor asked me not to join the gym due to severe health conditions. I haven't signed any agreement with the gym. Yet they are not ready to refund my amount....
