BEGUR !!! One of the oldest places in karnataka which have ancient temple built in Chalukya's period. There are schools and shops of all kinds and roadside vegetable market and clinics too. this stretch is always a busy with people and vehicles. I would wish to say with a very sad words that, there is Canara bank in begur. Around the bank there are around five to six wine shops in the stretch of 1/2 a kilometer. After 5 pm onwards, people find it very difficult to pass in this road for purchases or to take an evening walk. Eve teasers have hiked on this road. Till now we have not seen any police official obstructing or restricting the parking on this road. I don't think that it is a healthy atmosphere to give permission for so many wine shops in such a residential area. Drunkards are parking their vehicles on the roadside and consuming liquors from 5 pm to 11 pm. Ladies and children are very much affected by these on going activities on road. When the children go to their school in the early mornings they see the hoardings and ask their parents that why they drink alcohol? Parents find it very embarrassing to give the answers. Concerned Authorities have to take care of this with an immediate action. These words are not to be told but they have to be understood. We need to be good and healthy citizens and tell our children to learn good things.
Hope action will be taken.
