Home — Drainage problem not rectified for more than a year

We are facing drainage water returning to the home line and we are unable to use our bathrooms and toilets.

We have raised a regular complaint to the Ayappakam panchayat office and contacted the supervisor, they are saying motor problems for more than 6 months now and saying today they will see, each day the same answer.

Contacted one of the ward members - no step has been taken so far.

water is not being cleaned even manually using drainage lorry on regular basis, kindly look into this problem.

Still, drainage water is oozing and flowing in roads and homes causing bad smells which are causing viral fevers in the Ayapakkam area.

30+ typhoid cases are being recorded in Ayapakkam as of April month beginning.
