Honda Cbr 250r — Honda CBR 250 / Console BAcklit issue

Dell - Internal Use - Confidential Hi HMSI, This is regarding the below complaint where I got prompt response from my ASC. Was told to bring the bike and it will be replaced as its covered under my extended warranty . But the catch here was that I should pay the bill initially later on it will be reimbursed in the form of cheque (Either Courier/In hands) . But it has been more than 20 days since I have paid my bills I have never heard from any one nor my money is back. Kindly let me know if this was a trick by HMSI to make me pay for all. I am really disappointed with the way it’s going with Honda. I have had concrete plans for upgrading my CBR to another upcoming Honda soon along with another Activa 125 by August for my Fiancé but looking at the way things going am Holding on to it. Am extremely happy with the after sale service also the Value for money for my investment on Honda Engines. My only concern for the first time here is that my Honda CBR 250R STD variant which was purchased in October 2011, My speedo console Blue backlit is blown. Now when i check with ASC they do not have solution instead they asking me to replace the whole console which will cost me approx 5000 / - INR . My concern here is why should i change a whole working console just because of a backlit issue. I do not find it justifying. Even a entry level bikes has an option to change the backlit bulbs. It is ongoing issue on most of Honda CBRs, am part of Honda CBR Bangalore Community on FB and we have numerous people with the same issue. Would really appreciate if HMSI looks into this issue and get this resolved . I have always been compromising with quality issues of few other parts but this time it has taken toll on my patience. I have raised complaints on numerous forum but not getting any replies. I have purchased my bike on October 5th 2011 from Dhruvdesh motors Bangalore. Kindly let me know if you need more details.
