[Resolved]  ICICI Bank — ICICI Bank - Deduction of SMAB charges without informing about the change

i too have the same issue

I am having bank account in ICICI Adyar branch from last 10 years and my account no. is[protected]
My contact number is : +[protected]

I was just checking my bank statement and got the shock because my account has been debited by MAB charges S tax 43.26+ 393.26

I don't have any mail informing about this MAB charges. I have no information from ICICI. No call, no mail and no msg. Now that I
understand that ICICI bank has not informed me about change of balance system and if charges deducted are not credited back to my account then I will be left with no other option but to take this matter to higher authorities and Banking Ombudsman as this is CLEAR VIOLATION of Rule 8(1)(k) i.e. "levying of charges without adequate prior notice to the customer" of The Banking Ombudsman Scheme 2006.

Totally amt = 810.64. I tried calling the branch but there was no response. I don't have any mail informing about this MAB charges. I have no information from ICICI. No call, no mail and no msg. ICICI is cheater bank.. they are doing thief business by these types deduction.

This bank is not for customer service, it for they earning

I too got an email from ICICI with bank statement on 6.July 2014. My account is in dormant state as I didn't operate it for almost 5.5 years. I had a balance of Rs. 2202.55. and now they have debited Rs.1573.04 for SMAB Chgs Jan14-Apr14+Stax 173 leaving a balance of Rs. 669.51. I did not receive any notification before. Request to look into this matter and take necessary action.
