Indian Overseas Bank — Long pending delay to issue cheque book

Dear Sir,
I Captain Sagar Kandarathil Raghavan have various fixed deposits at Varandarappilly branch (0218) for my daughter’s (Gourilakshmi.K.S) education purpose and the interest generated from these deposits are automatically credited to her saving account number [protected]. Since I am sailing and my daughter is staying away from home my wife usually transfers the amount after submitting the duly signed cheques (cheque book was provided with my daughter’s name printed on it), As the cheque book is running short of leaflet a request was raised to issue for a new cheque book on 18.12.2021. Upon query on the status of cheque book on 24.12.2021 branch manager revealed that he is unable to issue the cheque book as the system is not accepting the command for the required request. Following this hardship, a letter of protest (please see the attachments) was issued to the branch manager on 24.12.2021 and on 28.12.2021 while enquired about the status he said that he has forwarded the letter to the concerned team and expecting a reply from them in 30 to 45 working days. He has categorically said that ‘as a manager his only duty is to forward the letter’ and he is not in a position to give any clarification for the queries that I have raised in the letter. I am working in the ship on a 2 month on/off basis and at present on leave. As per your manager (based on 30 to 45 days duration) I may get a reply during my next vacation i.e. in the month of March 2022.
Unfortunately, only 2 leaflets are remaining in the issued cheque book; once it exhaust transaction for her study purpose will be affected. My daughter has opened the account in your branch after meeting all the eligibility conditions and subsequently submitting the relevant documents. It is an absolute non sense that the man in charge is raising his hand when a customer is in troubled water not of his fault.

This type of attitude will affect the relations and I will think twice before doing any further business with your banking organization as it reminds ‘cat on a hot tin roof’.
Though I have sent so many emails including the one sent to all regional offices on 18.02.2022 I haven't received anything except the following prevaricated reply from your Ernakulam regional manager.

I have started the process on 18.12.2021 still days are counting...

It is shame to state that the banking organization which claim to have more than 3000 domestic branches and are spreading to many other nations are taking so long to give clarity in answer.
