I am an angry, dissatisfied and frustrated Customer of Air India. I am based in Victoria BC, in Canada. I am a frequent flyer on Air India, commuting between YVR to DEL for the last several years.
Prior to my recent disappointing Customer experience in seeking refund for a cancelled air travel, I used to highly rate Air India customer services, this myth now stands completely shattered.
It all happened this way:
I had booked an economy class air travel in June 2023 on Air India for December 13, 2023 departure by AI186 from YVR to DEL and Return from DELto YVR by AI flight AI185 on December 29, 2023.
I made this air travel reservation directly on-line on Air India web site. Booking reference: TIT2QZ; Ticket #: 098 [protected]. Electronic ticket itinerary receipt is attached.
On December 10 owing to some emergency, I decided to cancel my air travel reservation. I made the cancellation by calling the Air India call centre assigned to Canada at[protected].
I was provided with 2 Case ID;s towards cancellation as Case ID #[protected]cancellation of air ticket reservation) & Case ID #[protected]cancellation of reservation of preferred seats booking).
Notification for both case ID's promised 7-10 days as a time period for refund processing. The10 day time period for refund handoff ended on December 20, 2023.
Since December 20, I have made more than 10 calls and sent several reminders /enquiries into the Air India call centre on the status of refund processing. Air India call centre has failed to provide a firm date for the process to be complete.
Copy of the reminder email(s) sent to Air India is attached.
During my phone calls into the Air India call centre (@ Air India care), I have also escalated the matter multiple times in speaking directly to Supervisor(s) on duty at the call centre, however this too has been of no avail.
Having exhausted all means to get redressal I am now approaching your office with a request for thorough review of this case and early closure.
I hope to hear an early feedback together with a firm fix date by which this refund case will be concluded.
