Kia Motors — Delay of the delivery and putting me in helpless situation with delivery date.

Dear Kia India,

We have booked the "SELTOS HTK PLUS IMT PETROL" through Vihaan Kia Kukatpally, Hyderabad on 30th Sept 2021.
The dealer promised the maximum waiting period of 20 weeks from the booking date, for delivery of the vehicle.
Please see the attached booking form for your reference.

I have been in touch with the dealer’s salesmen Sanjeev, meaning I have been calling the dealer for the update, since January to get the delivery date of my car.

I made my first call to Sanjeev was on 5th January 2022 and he updated me that my order is in queue in 3rd position and I may get the delivery in January or maximum first week of the Feb.

Then, we visited the dealer in the third week of January, and he mentioned that my queue number if 4 or 5 and I will get the delivery in the first half of Feb. Also asked us to contact him after 5th Feb to know the delivery date.

As I again called him on 5th Feb, he mentioned the queue number is 6.

Given the above history I lost the trust on dealer as my queue number surprisingly increasing instead to decrease.

I then contacted Kia Care on 10th Feb explaining the situation. I then was contacted by a person from Dealer questioning why I choose to contact Kia Care. Then she gave me a reckless answer about the delivery of the vehicle saying "You shall have the delivery of vehicle when Kia gives it you as you have contacted Kia Care".

Then I got the response in mail from the dealer with sir and pleasing words but still no commitment or explanation on why the queue number increased.

Same day(10th Feb) as I visited the showroom, Mr. Abhinav and ASM Mr. Srinivas asked me a question, which humiliated me, whether I need delivery of the vehicle or the queue number?. I gave my answer saying I certainly want my vehicle delivered asap as the promised waiting period already done.

Keeping down all the pressure caused to me by the humiliated responses from the dealer and the frustration they caused, I have been trying to wait for the good news of my vehicle delivery.

Then there have been few mails exchanged between me and the dealer as a result of my continuous follow-up.
The constant and reckless update I got from the dealer is that they will inform me once they received the vehicle from Kia; or Kia the company did not dispatch the vehicle yet.
I could not attach the mail to this complaint. I shall forward the communication to you if you provide me the mail ID.

I sincerely ask for your help in getting my vehicle delivered ASAP and provide me the true status of my order.

I am not sure to what extent the dealer is liable for this delay but based on their responses it seems they have nothing to do with the vehicle delivery and only Kia India is responsible. Which seems very odd as they got the booking fee and dealer has nothing to do with the vehicle delivery.

Please let me know in case of any further information from me.

Keeping all my faith in Kia consumer forum to resolve my concern in all healthy environment.
