Updated by Karan93 I would like to bring your notice to the distubingly huge amount of water wastage that is taking place in Thulukanathamman Nagar water supply station, located at Nainarmandappam, Pondicherry. In this station having two outlets with valve from sub. mer. pump, from which one of the outlet pipe is connected to public water supplying pipeline and another outlet left free to drainage, as shown in image. Pump operators are very lazy and careless about fully close the free outlet valve. large amount of water is discharging uselessly to drainage.
Details:
pump capacity - 1000LPM.
pipe dia - 0.20mts.
water discharging through free outlet open - 1 litre / 3secs.
pump Operating time - 5am to 9am, 11am to 2pm, 5pm to 9pm.
total operating hours - 11 hours per day.
water wasting per hour - 1200 litres/ hour.
water wasting per day - 13, 200 litres / day.
this is continue from last three years. just imagine how huge amount of water is wasting.
please take immediate action to save water for future. Pump Operators are very very careless.
Think how precious is water.
