Landlord Harassment — Demanding the rent for next month even i m leaving room mid of this month

Me leaving in rent room at Lado Sarai. And NW I want to leave this place due to some reasons. But my landlord saying u cant leave room and u should give the rent of next month even I m leaving room mid of this month. So why should I give the rent if I m not have to live at that room. He is hereeting me daily.so what should I do. Should I leave room before time or not or give extra money to him
