Hello,
I have a query regarding the rental agreement. Back in 2016, we came across a property for rent and looked forward to staying. We agreed upon paying 25000 as a security deposit and 6000 as rent. Now after staying for 1 year 5 months, we planned on moving to another flat. But, our landlord is levying unnecessary charges in the name of painting and renovation which was not even part of the verbal agreement. We don't even have a rental agreement with us as in spite of intimating numerous times about the rental agreement, the landlord didn't make one. He kept on delaying it saying today tomorrow and ultimately didn't make it at all. What can i do in this case? How can i get my security deposit back? What legal actions can i take against him?
