M R Travels — Complaints against bus staff AR06A9838 MR Travels Pune to Jaisalmer 13/11/21

1. This is a reserved Bus, however there are almost twenty to thirty additional non reserved passengers (boarding & de boarding at local stops) being taken by the staff, because of which-
(a) All COVID related norms have been broken
(b) No Hygiene or sanitation being followed or done.
(c) There is an atrocious unbearable stinking smell inside the bus due to the above mentioned reasons
(d) There is no space for the reserved passengers to move or board or de board the bus. A passenger has to wait for pass over the non reserved sleeping passengers for the same.
The bus staff claims that the extra non reserved passengers are being taken as per the orders of the owners and it is not their fault.
2. The Bus is running more than 2 hours late since I boarded. I was continuously in touch with the driver/ co driver on call since i booked the ticket. However, instead of giving a correct intimation about the delay (which must be done courteously) I was told, ”We are reaching in half an hour/ fifteen minutes “. Delays due to technical faults/ road jams etc can occur & are understood. However staff should be courteous enough to let passengers know the delay time correctly.
3. As confirmed by fellow passengers, the delay of two to three hours hasn’t been due to any technical faults, but because of the bus staff taking extra time for unwarranted halts to attract more unreserved passengers.
4. The bus was supposed to travel through the designated route. However at all cities, they are telling reserved passengers to reach the bus stand on highway, causing serious problems to the reserved passengers. For me also, the boarding point at Pune was Karjat, however the bus staff told me to reach Nawle Bridge to board the bus.
5. At the same time, they are not dropping the reserved passengers at the designated bus stops and dropping them at other stops on their own chosen route. It again came to me as a shock that the bus is scheduled only till Barmer and will not be going to Jaisalmer. However, my booking and reservation in this bus is till Jaisalmer.
6. I’m a back patient and that’s why i had booked specifically a sleeper A/C bus. However the seat reserved for me has got two undulated mattresses wherein there is no space to even lay down straight. Above that, the bus staff persons are frequently coming and resting in the same cabin. And now they have started allowing the unreserved passengers (claiming that they are bus staff) to occupy the seat in the same cabin. Occupying fellow seat wouldn’t be an issue, but because of the undulated matress problem as well as the stinking problem (for which i had to go to the staff and interfere) how do you expect a general reserved passenger to travel safe and comfortably.
I’m writing this email while I’m still travelling in the bus and the plight of the passengers can only be understood just by imagining what kind of attitude the staff is reflecting towards passengers. What other problems I’m gonna face during this painful journey, will only be able to tell after I somehow reach safe at the destination
7. It clearly depicts that the staff and the owners are collectively involved in causing grievances to reserved passengers with the only aim to make extra money without having any concern for the reserved passengers.
