The security office of the township would mandate each of the tenants (holder of legal rent agreement) to avail citizen card that costs Rs. 150 and additionally pay a deposit of Rs. 1000 that is refundable. The deposit payment receipt states that the refund of deposit should be collected by tenant in a months time from expiry of the citizen card by presenting the receipt of deposit payment .
I have been residing in Magarpatta since last 7 years and had been renewing my legal rental agreement every time it expired. With onset of COVID, what I missed is renewal of the so called citizen card which I could only remember to renew in 2023.
I have visited the security office, dropped multiple emails in 2023 to either refund deposit or renew the citizen card against (deposit) amount the Magarpatta is due to pay me back. The office staff do not pay a heed to respond on emails and this has made my stay at Magarpatta very stressful/troublesome.
While the refund amount in the discussion is mere Rs. 2000, this is more to do with righteousness. The Magarpatta citizen card as against legal rental agreement has become the most important document and without this no access is given to MyGate application and thus no delivery/house helps can access your flat making your stay difficult.
