We made online booking with make my trip (Mmt) booking id nl[protected] for a family trip to bhutan from may 13th-may 20th 2019. The booking was done in april 2019 and payments were made online thru links provided by mmt at regular intervals. This was for our family trip to bhutan which included 9 members. All requested details like name, sex, age, address of all passengers along with copies of pages of passport were sent at booking time to mmt by email/whatsapp. Despite sending the details mmt goofed up in the air ticket booking for one of the passengers mr. Ravi ramachandran whose sex was declared as "female" by mmt in the ticket. When this error was brought to their notice, they demanded an extra payment of rs. 3150/- to rectify the error, this despite no fault from our side. We had no alternative but to pay up since the tickets were provided just 2 days before our trip start date.
We have complained to mmt customer support and the matter is yet to be resolved. We were promised refund of the extra money of rs. 3500/- but it is over a month and we just keep receiving automated mails that the matter is under review and a resolution will be in place. Attached is copy of the detail document sent by mmt to us on 10th may 2019, wherein it clearly mentions the passenger as "ms. Ravi k ramachandran" and sex as "female". Also, attached is the receipt of rs. 3150/- paid to mmt for making the correction.
