[Resolved] MakeMyTrip India — Hotel booking not confirmed | |||||
Hi I had booked a hotel on behalf of my brother and some of his friends for his stay in Switzerland. But upon reaching the hotel, they were shocked to find out that the booking was non existent, in fact the hotel hadn't had any contact with make my trip. Furious my brother himself called make my trip bearing the international costs but was put on hold as soon as he reached through to an executive. Now, he contacted me and asked me to look into it. I called MMT's helpline but like my brother was put on hold after they listened to my grievances. They said we'll look into the issue and put the call on hold. After an hour of no response I disconnected and informed my brother to look into other hotels. Now, my brother had a pregnant couple with him and they all had to wait without a hotel while my brother looked for alternatives. MMT only contacted us after 3-4 hours until which my brother had found another hotel. Now, when I contacted MMT they simply messaged me that we will give you 10, 000 rupees, that is it. They didn't even compliment me with a phone call. I mean an incident of this level warrants a proper apology and after the type of customer care they provided, a proper compensation. I am posting my query here so that this does not happen to anyone especially in a volatile environment like a foreign country. Thank You Anant Jain Was this information helpful? | |||||

We are sorry to hear that we were not able to meet your expectations in regards to the compensation. Trust, we've shared the resolution basis our deep analysis on the issue and that's the best that we can provide you. Since full refund has already been processed, apart from INR 10000 discount voucher, we shall offer you difference in fare as well once you share the Invoice of your alternate hotel which your brother had to book directly. Request you to please share the acceptance on the voucher along with the Invoice so that we can do the needful. Once again we would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused.
