I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your immediate attention a distressing matter regarding a recent booking I made on MakeMyTrip.com (MMT). I have booked 6 tickets under the Trip Guarantee Scheme, which promised confirmed tickets upon payment of an additional 360 rupees per ticket.
Regrettably, despite the assurances provided by the Trip Guarantee Scheme, my tickets have not been confirmed. Consequently, I am compelled to cancel the booking. However, the cancellation process has revealed concerning discrepancies in the charges deducted by MakeMyTrip.com, which I believe warrant urgent investigation and rectification.
Upon cancellation, I was dismayed to discover that MakeMyTrip.com has levied a trip guarantee charge of 1480 rupees per ticket, in addition to the 360 rupees IRCTC ticket cancellation charges. This cumulative deduction represents more than 60% of my original payment, which I find deeply unfair and unjustifiable.
It is evident that I have been subjected to what appears to be an exploitative and misleading scheme, wherein promises of confirmed tickets under the Trip Guarantee Scheme have not been upheld, and exorbitant charges have been levied upon cancellation.
I urge you to take immediate and stringent action to address this matter. Specifically, I request a thorough investigation into the practices surrounding the Trip Guarantee Scheme and the exorbitant charges imposed upon cancellation. Furthermore, I seek prompt reimbursement of the excessive charges deducted from my payment.
Failure to address this issue satisfactorily will compel me to escalate this matter to relevant consumer protection authorities and pursue legal recourse to seek restitution for the undue financial burden imposed upon me.
I trust that you will treat this matter with the urgency and seriousness it warrants. I eagerly await your prompt response and resolution.
