Mcc Motors Bosch Car Service — The worst ever Service center in chennai !!! | |||
Hello, This happened recently when i took my Ford Figo Diesel on January of 2014. This is 2010 model car bought on 2011 and has done around 58000km till i entered the Bosch MCC Motor. My issues/observation on my car was Noise ("Tuk..Tuk") on turning to U-Turn to Right /Left. and of course for a regular Oil Change and bake pad inspection.(And Told them a word that i need the car perfectly) I conveyed the above to one of the service attended @ Mcc Motors Bosch Car and in return he filled up the Job Sheet and asked one of his mechanic to test ride the car and sort of the issues. The same was done as usual and i left the car there and returned home.(No complaint from mechanic till Now) After 2 Hrs and came back to work shop to get the Estimation and it was around Rs 50, 000 which included Rs 47500 of spare price and 7500 for Labor. (water wash not included :) ) I was little shocked seeing this quote. The parts to be changed are as below, Engine Oil Air Filter Oil Filter Brake Disk Brake Pad Brake shoe Wheel Cylinder Drive Shaft Left & Right Timing Belt Timing Tensioner Timing Idler Alternator Belt Alternator Tensioner Alternator Idler Fog Lamp Also the ended saying Clutch and suspensions are also worn out and we can replace it on next visit. So by now i was little bit doubtful and hence asked them if i can buy the spares outside as i saw few spare prices almost double the actual amount (Brake Pad - 1550, Drive Shaft 14000 etc) also asked then if the spares are "Bosch made" to which they replied "NO". So, its my turn to find out the and called all around Chennai and Listed the OE make brand and price of all the parts which totaled just Rs.24000. Which is almost 20000 lesser than they're Price. I informed them the same and told them that i will buy them everything by next week due to my financial issues and they accepted after seeing my list along with Brand name (they dint even say a word about it) Now the person informed that i can pull out the car for now after 2-3 hrs of re fixing and came I back to take my car and they had a bill of Rs.850. This made me feel something fishy about the guys and argued y 850?? .. bla bla bla all and left the place giving Rs.500 (Worst ever a customer can be treated ) Now i am confused of all wat happened and i did not want to step into that Ditch again. So decided to Look for some mechanics and Finalized with a guy near Velachery who again test drive'd my car. His statement was the car is perfectly good and only Right Drive shaft needed a replacement and nothing other than that. By this time i was afraid of if he is not a good option as the opinions were @ two extremes!!! Finally told him what all happened @ Mcc Motors Bosch Car BOSCH and he just smiled without a word and asked me to leave the car and go. Also promised that he will guaranty me 100% satisfy I forced him to change the timing Belt and accessories at least but he refused by telling he will inspect/check it first. So the result was out after 3 days, He just changed the following Engine Oil Air Filter Oil Filter Wheel Cylinder Drive Shaft Left - Right Alternator Belt The Total Estimation was 11200 which included complete wash(I/E) + 500 diesel. :) I was simply shocked!! i asked him to change the Brake pad .. but he immediately removed it and showed me the pad and told it can be changed after 5000kms :). I couldn't believe him even till now. I am driving the car now and have almost done 1500km without any issues. So guys this is my Experience about a Branded Garage under the Name Bosch-Mcc Motors Bosch Car May be the car would have been perfect after all the spare changes as Listed by Bosch, but y should u do it when it can be even more perfect with the Original spares of your Car ("All the spares u buy is 2nd quality comparing too the original inbuild in car" Statement from the Mechanic of Velachery) But the surprise is ...wont the Bosch Mechanic Know if a Brake pad is worn out or not. :) !!! hmmmm anyway !! I won’t say they cheated me!!! Nor even tried too!! it is very worst.
Recently i have got my fiat punto car service at mcc-bosch service centre.
I was in dilemma to go to mytvs or bosch-mcc service starting.
Somehow i went to bosch to get service.
fortunately i got a time to monitior their work for 3 days completely as it was having light tinkering work.
So i observed their quality or work is very poor.
Very less gurantee they do every thing present on your joblist and will definitly comes on ur bill. It might been addressed or not addressed. No guarantee.
Also, spares they use are local.
Spares costs in estimation- i called fiat service people for the spare part price compare. I notice mcc defintly charging more than what fiat service people giving. Also, this mcc spares not genuine.
At this point, one of the spare was fiat ac filter, it actually costs 210 rs as per fiat service centre people. but mcc charged 1450 which means they have no idea and specific car spares price list with them before they give the estimation.
Finally, we should be knowing little mechanics and our car spare parts names and prices badly if you are going to mcc motors.
Otherwise they try to make minimum 10000/- on a small car which has no problem too.
Finally, i have end up in paying 10500/- to mcc motors although i know few are not addressed present in my job list.
Belwo are the works in job list:
engine oil change --> addressed but my car requires 3.4 ltrs only but they charge for 4 ltrs. Note 1 ltr cost 450 rs.
oil filter - changed but not felt it is genuine.
air filter- changed but not felt it is genuine.
AC filter - they put 1450 rs in bill where as it costs only 210 rs as per fiat service people. Luckily it(spare)was not availble to them. So i as them to remove from bill.
brake pads(not discs) --> changed but not genuine, they charged 2300 where fiat orginial costs 3300/-.
discs lathing/facing --> mcc suggested no disc change reqd where fiat sevice will dfently ask us to change. To fix this, mcc suggested they do lathing which can improve braking with new brake pads they put now. But no lathing is done but they charged 900 rs for that. Also, they simple changed the facing inside to outside and viceversa. Braking is worst than before now.
light tinkering on door --> charged 2800, its good.
car wash --> mcc charging 500 rs where fiat charges only 350 rs .
So going thru above becare full when you are going to MCC. They will try to take more advantage on corporate people as they pay more and easily.

You are lucky, In the very first time as I am new to Chennai, I had some problem with my car and the gearbox got struck. As I am new to Chennai in a helpless situation I consulted MCC Motors where they charged 37000 to my Santro car and in the list they said like they replaced a secondhand gear box which costs 16000,
Recently when I went to AP there in Lakshmi Hyundai I came to know that a new gearbox is of Rs:8300.
then I came to know that I was cheated very badly. Don't no whom to trust and everybody started laughing at me for spending 37000 for gear bax(secondhand)
clutchplates, selfmotor and engine oil general service.
After doing these while on the national highway when I was overtaking the Truck the gearbox got struck. By gods grace the Truck drivers saved me.
All the viewers please don't do the mistake by giving your vehicles to MCC.
They even chaned the switches lights and more over there is no coolent audiosystem was not working on the whole.
Such a pathetic experience I have.

Dont go to that MCC motors medavakkam... They will pretend like listening all your car issues and wont do anything and will charge more. They are money minded.

I took my car for AC blower problem, after two weeks of doing nothing these bunch of so called mechanic spoiled my entire car. Entire cluster box is not working. then reason what these fellows were giving is since its a flooded vehicle these problems are common. Moreover these guys spoiled the steering alignment and even after the test drive these fellow dont know how to do it. My humble request to all car owners please dont give your car for service to MCC motor. How Bosch is still continuing the franchise with these gundas..

Donot send your car for servicing to them. BIG CHEATERS. Gave my car on 8th Oct morning for basic servicing to be done and given back by 8th evening, after followingup regularly, they didnt give me an estimate. Till 9PM 8th oct they didnt give the estimate and didnt even work on car. On 9th morning, they gave me a ridiculous estimate. They told me 5 l engine oil. Capacity of my car engine oil is 3 litres. Brake shoes, wipers, etc... they were giving ridiculous prices. Indicator bulb, seals, parts etc when while checking and giving the car all was working. Estimate given 14k When I have asked them to return the car, they were abusive and till now 9th Oct afternoon, have not yet got the car. Seriously they are biggest cheaters, they rip the customers. Suggest me what actions can be taken against them. Dont they understand, that a person knows the pricing when they have been serving their cars regularly. DO NOT SEND UR CARS FOR SERVICING TO THEM
