My father Mr Kanwar pal Singh is 62 years old and have served 38 years in Indian Air Force. By working in defence and serving country he has earned several benefits like ECHS facility. But hospitals like Medanta treats ECHS patients like downgrade citizens. My father was diagnosed with enlarged prostate and advised surgery. On19th Dec'20 after all tests and duly submission of all documents, hospital staff suggest him to get admitted on 20th Dec'20 at 10 am in morning. But on arriving th encounter for admission, the staff- Mr karan denied the admission saying documents are not sufficient and are incomplete. After a lot of discussion and heated arguments at around 12 noon he finally gave him the admissions, but after going to the room again at around 2.30 pm lunch was served to him that too after complaining at nursing counter on the floor.
Again after some time my father was shifted to another room- a general ward with 4 patients including him although the permission in documents submitted by us and also provided to us at the time of admission was of semi private ward with only 2 patients.
Is this is the service that a hospital like Medanta provides to a senior citizen and also a defence personal who have served the country throughout his like. Or is this a way to give respect and comfort to patients who are cash cows and neglect the others.
Hoping a quick revert on this before his surgery. We can take him to other hospital as well since Medanta is not interested in serving senior citizen and a defence personal of this country since they are only aiming at earning revenues...????
Regards,
Sonika
