My father (Vijay Gupta) had a kidney malfunctioning and extreme low BP problem owing to which I approached the Max Hospital, Bathinda on 24-May-2022 at around 11 PM (IP no. 67167). Patient was admitted to ICU in an emergency. I have 2 major concerns in a treatment of less than 2 days which are given below:
1. As per the management rules, there is a very short span of time in which we were allowed to meet the patient. We were assured that my father will get the best care that is what Max is famous for. But unfortunately, carelessness from your hospital staff lead us to such a mental and financial torture that we had to ask for LAMA.
In one visit, my father was sleeping without oxygen cylinder. It got detached while sleeping and nobody noticed that for significant amount of time. In subsequent visits, my father asked me for water and told me that he is asking from last 1 hour but nobody gave water to them. Even I had to ask for that twice. Also, the food served in the evening time was not fresh or hot. (Probably the morning food was supplied in the evening). There were few more such events.
2. We were told in the beginning that that an ultra sound needs to be done in order to check the cause of the disease. But it was not done till morning of 26 May. But the charges o[censored]ltra sound were added in the final bill. Also, I did not find any ultra sound report in Patient's file. So the question arises (i) why and how did they do the ultra sound in just 1 hour which was pending from last 30 hours. (ii) It was really done? or only the charges were added in the bill?
At last, I would like to say we all had suffer so much harassment in all this that we won’t be able to trust Max Hospital services.
Now it’s up to you that How will you ensure that this won’t be repeated again and what about all the torture we had gone through? Was this information helpful? |
