Hello,
The Jawahar baug thane khartan road crematorium is getting many Covid corpses which are wrapped in plastic which increases pollution in the khartan area. The issue was raised & notified to local authorities / administration by Khartan road residents but no action taken till date. We are severely affected by frequent dense fumes blowing out even after newly renovated high height chimneys after the cremation of Covid bodies. Many, especially the elderly and ailing, have complained of breathlessness since the last few months following which wary local residents. Even after continuous follow-up with local administration bodies, the issue is not getting resolved.
The dense fumes can be seen every time a Covid patient cremated which is due to the burning of plastic body bags adding more pollution issues.
I request you to look into this matter urgently & provide resolution either by relocating this crematorium or extending a pipeline in a non populated creek area.
