Hi sir,
I am ashok Parmar staying in 26, meghji vallabhdas chawl, b.s.road, dadar west, mumbai from last 57 years. I am tenant of above mention room.
Above mansion property is 120 years old, now the local authority also announced for danger. We all tenants requested for redevelopment but the landlord not take care of it.
I am a common man, I just won't save my family.
Further to informed you that we had filed case against our landlord because they're not collecting rent from tenant but in 2008-09 Court receiver hand over property to landlord, after that no one collected rent.
So I requested to you, please pass new provision or amendment in existing provision in rent and control act.
In Mumbai there is 1000 + old construction are in dangerous situation and tenant does not won't to vacated.
Landlord only thinking that if such property collapsed than whole land became empty and its easy to sell land. But what about us we are tenant staying from birth and some who purchasing from tenant but the rent receipt not in our name and landlord not issues and collect rent from tenant.
I also informed you that in Mumbai, MAHADA authority and local authority are fever to builder's and because of this problems faced by tenant.
