Nobroker — Seller withdrawn from sale but NoBroker not refunding the Token Amount of Rs.75000

I had finalised on a property to buy on 22nd October 2023, but as the seller is a NRI, he had taken a premium service from NoBroker and NoBroker did not provide the contact details of the seller until I pay the Token amount. I was contacted by Mr. Pramod Vijay (Indukuri Pramod Vijay Varma). As the Seller has taken the premium service NoBroker asked me to pay token amount of Rs.75000, to get the sellers contact details and they pressurised me by saying that there are other people who have shortlisted the property as well and if you want to block it, then I need to pay the token immediately, I received an email with the payment link from Mr. Jayanth Kumar HM and post the payment the Mr. Pramod Vijay stopped calling me and even responding to my calls and then Mr. Kumaran D called me stating me that he is from loans department and will help in getting me the loans, next day Mr. Abbas called me stating that he is my relationship manager and he will take care of my loan journey, the documents of seller that were provided to me from NoBroker were incomplete. I had hired an advocate to verify the documents, the advocate verified the documents and asked to furnish the further and all this took more than a month. Even the loan processing was done by NoBroker itself because they were providing the doorstep service. In that when my documents were submitted to the bank via NoBroker, I had not received any email from bank but an email from NoBroker about my loan eligibility with a screen shot that of the same which they stated that this is the screen shot of the email confirmation from the bank but in the screen shot the from email id was of NoBroker itself. And then I had to do the follow-up for more than a week to get the email from bank to authenticate the loan eligibility.

After that I had arranged the full documents of the property and given for the further processing of loan, they took 4 days to proceed with the documents to the bank advocate, that too when I had scolded them for not proceeding further. And after that when I spoke to the bank advocate then the advocate asked for updated Khatha, the same I asked the seller to furnish, when the seller checked he came to know that it will take 40 working days to get the updated Khatha.

Due to the time constraint the Seller withdrawn from the sale and email the NoBroker team regarding the same and mentioned that he is ready to refund the amount that he has received as token amount, and marked a cc to me as well on 17th December 2023, and the seller had reiterated two times on the same email regarding the withdrawal on 19th December and 22nd December, as there was no response from NoBroker. I was surprised as the seller has only received Rs.20000 as token amount, where I had paid Rs.75000.

Yesterday on 2nd January 2024 when I called to check regarding the refund, NoBroker is saying that I am withdrawing from the deal and not they cannot refund. When I confronted them with the email that the seller has send then they are saying the matter has been escalated to the internal team and they will get in touch with you.

Then I came online and checked, is it only with me or NoBroker has done such cheating with others, then I came to know there are many such cases that has happened in different people in different cases.

I just want refund of Rs.75000 that I had paid as Token amount.
