Passport Office Dehradun — Delay in issuing passport

This is to inform that the passport applicant Vasudevdas ji (DOB 05/02/1980) for the following (File # DD[protected]. He has applied for passport renewal and submitted the online form on 29/03/2022 and was scheduled for an appointment at Passport office, Dehradun for the 1st week of April. The passport officer due to lack of inability in verifying the educational qualification of Vasudevdas ji, who enclosed his bachelors degree he did via Sanskrit medium from Sampoornanand Sanskrit University, Varsnasi, he replied saying that he was not able to understand the language of the certificate and hence he referred the applicant to local RPO in Dehradun, he then scheduled and visited RPO and met with the concern officer who also replied in the same fashion saying that he has to send for cross verification of his bachelors degree to Sampoornanand Sanskrit University because he could not understand the language.

In our life experience after Modi government simplified the process for the sake of applicant ease to apply for passport and despite, the applicant educational documents were sent because both the designated officers have no understanding of it, how unfortunate to see that these I unqualified officers are holding position and are seamless enough to admit their ineligibility to verify the required documents. Why the applicant has to pay the price for such intolerable, pathetic and unprofessional behaviour.

Is the applicant applying for lecture job or a professor job in Uttrakhand that his qualification is verified, that too when the applicant is applying for renewal, totally unacceptable.

The applicant later followed up on call with local RPO many a times in this period of tiring 3 months since his personal appointment at the passport office, Dehradun. The RPO office replied saying that they are yet hear from the concern university in Varanasi, until then they cant say anything on long this process will take..

The Tracking number (PP[protected]IN) was aided upon request so that one can follow up personally on the status with the University, one of our local friend went personally check the status at the Registrar office at the University, Where we were informed by RPO, Dehradun that the applicant document were received here, but upon checking thoroughly the office could not trace anything in that given tracking number.

Now, that despite it was not the applicant’s mistake and he went on to try on his own to find resolve but, he failed and had to report this careless and uncivilized behaviour of the local passport office.

We request earnest intervention so, the applicant can receive the passport asap and a strong action taken against those officer in charge both in Passport office and RPO, Dehradun so that one may not have suffer for the ineligible and unprofessional officers.

We look forward to seeking a positive answer, after all that the applicant waited patiently for the 3 months.
