I refer to a Maharashtrian hotel named Peshwai Misal in Pimple Saudagar Pune. They serve number of marathi food items.
I went there asking for Thalipeeth. Now this delicacy is accompanied by curd, thecha (Spicy green chilly pickle) and groundnut chutney. And this is how it tastes the best.
When I asked what are the accompaniments the attendant said curd. When asked you don’t serve thecha? He said no. There was no commitment from his side to offer that pickle as well. They do offer it for some other dishes like Pithala Bhakari.
I reluctantly left that place without ordering my stuff. Later I asked if I get his the owners number and the attendant started saying, we will offer but charge you for that.
This is strange, the common accompaniments should not be charged separately.
He did not give me owners number, but later when I insisted, he gave me managers number. When I contacted him, he understood that it can be served but gave an excuse that no one likes it!
Later he was ready to offer it to me. However by then I had left the restaurant and was on my way to something else.
This is disappointing. On my next visit, if they behave like this, I will say goodbye to this restaurant forever. Was this information helpful? |
