I purchased a travel insurance policy for my parents while I was overseas in Australia. Subsequently, I discovered that the policy was deemed invalid, as it could only be obtained prior to departing from India. I contacted PolicyBazaar.com to request a full refund of the premium amount I had paid, but they only refunded half of the amount, citing their internal policies. Despite engaging in multiple email exchanges and discussions, I have been left with no choice but to file a formal complaint against them.
Additionally, after purchasing the policy, I inquired via email about it and asked whether purchasing the policy from overseas would be permissible.
and to date didn't get a reply to that email.
To simplify, I purchased a product online from abroad that turned out to be invalid, and I believe that their standard cancellation policy rules should only apply if the policy itself is valid.
