We experienced extreme problems with my mother who is 80 year old and was hospitalised in new delhi and had a major surgery and thereafter bedridden for many months, We hired portea medical for 2 attendants for 12 hours shifts in day and night at Rs 20000 per month each so total 40000 per month, The Staff is extremely unprofessional, they hire 12th and college passout girls who donot even know what to do or how to handle patients, they arrive 1 hour late and leave half hour early, Out of the 12 hours duty time 8 hours is spent on their mobile phone talking to remote relatives or boyfriends, listening to songs, they cannot even handle basic actvities of the patient like making sure they eat their breakfast, lunch or snacks, medicines etc, If I was out for few hours they would infact tell lies that my mother had good breakfast, lunch etc but infact she hadnt even eaten anything and they were not at all interested in feeding her, or cleaning her, getting her brushed or help with toileting on bed, they come only for listening to songs, watching TV, watching and talking on their mobile phone with their friends, sleep if you are not around and then charge hefty amount from you and leave for the day without any concern whatsoever for the patient. Their field staff is so rude and un professional, my mother needed 24x7 care and they would erratically not send staff saying today is ramzan so could not arrange staff, even if arranges staff the attitude of the staff is not at all helping or caring since they are mostly on phone during duty.
