On 7th jan i did sleeper coach booking in purple for traveling from panvel to ankleshwar. I opted for seat no. 4 (Single berth), for which i received sms from purple for confirmation of seat (Berth) no. 4 (Pnr 95577).
On 9th jan (Actual date of my travel), i got a message (Sms) on my mobile phone about shifting of my seat no. From 4 to 11. Upon calling a purple representative, he advised me to "not take tension", as it was a like for like change. (I later found that his statement was not true).
At the time of bus arrival at panvel (About 10pm on 9th jan), i checked with the travel agent, who had issued the purple ticket to me. He informed to me that the new berth assigned to me (No. 11) was a sharing birth. There was a "single" berth available at the back. The agent told me that my berth was assigned to a lady from panvel.
I found this change unacceptable to me. I decided to cancel my booking at the last minute. How can purple change the confirmed berth at their own discretion?
