Yesterday, I went to Shivaji Nagar, Pune branch in order to fore-close my home loan account.
However, the representative, Mrs Magal Barne in Shivaji Nagar branch clearly refused to accept the cheque.
I would like to understand the reason for not accepting the cheque?
I had even raised a request via email on which there has been no response neither from the Customer Care team nor the Nodal officer.
Mrs. Mangal did not acknowledge my request & on top of it has raised a new request for which I have not received a confirmation in any form. I would also get SMS confirmation in the past which has not happened this time.
Previously I had been issued the foreclosure letter through a request raised via email.
In the current situation where the Corona cases are increasing in Pune, I do not understand why they want us to visit personally & put my family in danger.
I would also like to bring to your notice that in spite of saying no, we were forced to take insurance along with a home loan even though that is not mandatory by the government/RBI.
Please help us understand the reason for the same?
We have made up our mind to go for balance transfer to another finance institution considering the very high ROI, plus not receiving the benefit of low repo rate and the bad services we have been receiving.
Kindly issue a fore-closure letter at the earliest. And please make sure to not charge us any interest because of Mrs Mangal's refusal of accepting the cheque against outstanding amount.
