[Resolved] Qatar Airways — Damaged bag | |
Dear Sir,
On 31st June I had taken a flight from West Bengal Kolkata to Italy. On arrival when I collect my luggage then I find that my luggage is damaged by airlines people.The next day I had sent a mail to Qatar airways stating them that my luggage was damaged by them. They asked me for photo of the damaged areas, boarding pass and ticket. Then they informed me to talk to G Services in Austria for the repairing the same. G.Services then said me that they will get the suitcase collected from me and they will either repair or replace the same.I informed that I cannot go for replacement cause the suitcase carries some of my sentimental issues. The lady from G. Services confirmed me that surely she will ask me before replacement. One day a courier comes to me and I find that a new suitcase is sent to me. I immediately send a mail to G.Services. Then that lady informs me that in my case repair was not possible so, they had replaced the same. Then I asked the lady that you have only confirmed me that before replacement you will ask me. I also told her to get the new suitcase collected from me and hand over my damaged suitcase to me. In return to this the lady replied that this is not acceptable as per airlines policy and my luggage will be scraped. After they I have been writing mails to that lady of G.Services but not getting any reply from them. I have also mailed to the airlines people about this but I am not getting any reply from them also.
Please suggest what should I do now to get my bag back from them. This bag is very important for me.
